WE ARE SASA
SASA – Sapienza Aerospace Student Association viene fondata nel 2012 come Student Branch dell’AIAA – American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (prima in Italia) diventando in seguito Associazione Culturale e Associazione Studentesca presso La Sapienza Università di Roma.
Secondo il proprio statuto, SASA è una libera associazione di persone gestita e operata su base volontaria, apolitica, apartitica e senza scopo di lucro, e nasce con lo scopo di promuovere la cultura aerospaziale, ed in particolare:
- Creare un luogo di discussione su tematiche scientifiche, ingegneristiche e tecnologiche;
- Rendere l’offerta didattica più coinvolgente;
- Facilitare e promuovere l’ingresso nel mondo del lavoro;
Per portare avanti i suoi obbiettivi statutari l’Associazione, formata inizialmente da un gruppo di studenti e professori dei corsi aerospaziali, si è aperta a tutto il pubblico, anche extrauniversitario, iniziando a coinvolgerealtri settori come l’economia aziendale, il marketing e il settore giuridico. In questo modo SASA è diventata rapidamente un punto di riferiemnto nell’ambiente universitario e nella filiera aerospaziale della città di Roma, aumentando sempre di più il valore didattico delle sue attività.
Oggi SASA organizza e promuove conferenze scientifiche, pubblicazioni di articoli, workshop, progetti, laboratori, competizioni interuniversitarie, attività sociali e molto altro.
Inoltre, tramite i suoi Team, partecipa da anni a competizioni internazionali nel settore dell’aerospazio ed offre esperienze altamente professionalizzanti. Grazie a queste attività e soprattutto grazie alle occasioni di networking, SASA si posiziona come anello di congiunzione tra Univerità e mondo del Lavoro, costruendo un luogo di incontro ed una rampa di lancio verso aziende e realtà del settore Aerospaziale.
Attualmente SASA è la più grande associazione studentesca per numero di iscritti in Italia.
SASA – Sapienza Aerospace Student Association was founded in 2012 as the Student Branch of the AIAA – American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (the first in Italy), later becoming a Cultural Association and Student Association at La Sapienza University of Rome.
According to its statute, SASA – Sapienza Aerospace Student Association is a free association of individuals managed and operated on a voluntary basis, non-political, non-partisan, and nonprofit. It was established with the aim of promoting aerospace culture, specifically to:
- Create a forum for discussion on scientific, engineering, and technological topics.
- Enhance educational offerings to make them more engaging.
- Facilitate and promote entry into the workforce.
To fulfill its statutory objectives, the Association, initially formed by a group of students and professors from aerospace courses, opened its doors to the public, including those outside the university environment, and began involving other sectors such as business economics, marketing, and legal areas. In doing so, SASA quickly became a reference point within the university environment and aerospace sector in the city of Rome, continually enhancing the educational value of its activities.
Today, SASA organizes and promotes scientific conferences, publishes articles, conducts workshops, initiates projects, hosts laboratories, engages in inter-university competitions, social activities, and much more.
Furthermore, through its teams, SASA has been participating in international aerospace competitions for years, offering highly professional experiences. Through these activities and networking opportunities, SASA serves as a bridge between the university and the job market, creating a meeting point and launching pad for aerospace companies and entities.
Currently, SASA is the largest student association in Italy in terms of membership.
