Dopo il grande successo delle prime due edizioni, ospitate dal Politecnico di Torino nel 2023 e dall’Università di Padova nel 2024, l’Italian Rocket Engineering Student Summit (IRESS) è pronto a fare il suo atteso ritorno nel 2025, questa volta nel cuore della capitale italiana.
Lunedì 28 aprile 2025, la Sapienza Aerospace Student Association (SASA), in collaborazione con il Sapienza Rocket Team (SRT) e il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Aerospaziale (DIMA) della Sapienza Università di Roma, avrà l’onore di organizzare e ospitare la terza edizione di questo prestigioso summit presso l’Aula Magna del Rettorato.
Negli anni, IRESS si è affermato come un punto di riferimento per la comunità studentesca aerospaziale italiana. L’obiettivo dell’iniziativa è riunire i Rocket Team delle università del Paese, insieme a figure di spicco del settore. L’edizione 2025 sarà dedicata alle innovazioni SRAD (Student Research and Development), tecnologie sviluppate interamente dagli studenti che rivestono un ruolo chiave nelle competizioni internazionali e nell’evoluzione del settore, dimostrando il contributo fondamentale delle nuove generazioni nell’ampliamento dei confini tecnologici.
L’evento si aprirà con i saluti della Magnifica Rettrice Antonella Polimeni e offrirà una piattaforma dinamica in cui i team partecipanti potranno presentare i propri progetti, condividere esperienze e favorire lo scambio di conoscenze. Oltre alle presentazioni, IRESS 2025 proporrà panel tematici, discussioni interattive e tavole rotonde su argomenti di grande attualità e impatto. Queste sessioni rappresenteranno un’occasione unica per studenti, ricercatori e professionisti del settore di confrontarsi su tematiche cruciali per il futuro dell’aerospazio.
Con il conto alla rovescia ormai iniziato, tutti gli occhi sono puntati sul 28 aprile 2025, quando l’università la Sapienza sarà palcoscenico del Rocketry Italiano.
After the great success of its first two editions, hosted by the Politecnico di Torino in 2023 and the University of Padova in 2024, the Italian Rocket Engineering Student Summit (IRESS) is set to make its highly anticipated return in 2025, this time in the heart of Italy’s capital.
On Monday, April 28, 2025, the Sapienza Aerospace Student Association (SASA), in collaboration with the Sapienza Rocket Team (SRT) and the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMA) at Sapienza University of Rome, will have the honor of organizing and hosting the third edition of this prestigious summit at the Aula Magna of the Rectorate.
Over the years, IRESS has established itself as a key event for Italy’s student aerospace community. The goal of this initiative is to bring together Rocket Teams from universities across the country, alongside leading figures in the industry. The 2025 edition will focus on SRAD (Student Research and Development) innovations, technologies developed entirely by students that play a crucial role in international competitions and the evolution of the sector, highlighting the fundamental contribution of young generations in expanding technological frontiers.
The event will begin with a welcome address from Magnifica Rettrice Antonella Polimeni and will provide a dynamic platform for participating teams to present their projects, share experiences, and exchange knowledge. In addition to presentations, IRESS 2025 will feature thematic panels, interactive discussions, and roundtables on highly relevant and impactful topics. These sessions will offer a unique opportunity for students, researchers, and industry professionals to engage in discussions on key issues shaping the future of aerospace.
With the countdown officially underway, all eyes are set on April 28, 2025, when Sapienza University will become the stage of Italian Rocketry.
